What does Altsets provide that an AI agent cannot find on the internet?
General AI agents can search filings and the web, but supply chain information is fragmented, inconsistently reported, and difficult to compare across companies. Altsets gives the agent a normalized network of supplier and customer relationships, dependency estimates, and historical observations that it can reason over directly instead of reconstructing the network from scratch.
Where does the data come from?
Altsets builds its network from company filings, presentations, releases, manifests, and other public sources. The information is normalized into a consistent supplier and customer network and supplemented with proprietary estimates where exact relationship values are not directly reported.
What do the dependency metrics mean?
Relationship value estimates the annual economic value of a supplier and customer relationship. Supplier revenue % estimates how much of the supplier's revenue depends on that customer. Customer cost % estimates how much of the customer's costs depend on that supplier.
How much historical data is available?
Altsets maintains point in time relationship history going back to 2006. Architect includes a rolling 10-year history window. Enterprise can access the full available history.
What is the difference between the research chat and a workspace?
The research chat does the investigation for you. Ask a question and Altsets uses its data and research tools to work through it. Workspaces let you explore the same network visually by placing companies, expanding suppliers and customers, revealing metrics, and saving maps for later.
Can I connect Altsets to my own AI agent?
Yes. Paid plans can connect compatible AI agents to Altsets so they can use Altsets data and tools directly during research. This lets you bring the network into an existing AI workflow instead of being limited to the Altsets interface.
How does plan usage work?
Usage is primarily consumed when Altsets exposes new proprietary data to your account. Unlocking a new relationship or dependency metric contributes to your monthly usage. Reusing a relationship or metric you have already unlocked does not consume the same unlock usage again. Chat, connected agents, and workspaces share the same underlying data access system.
What is the difference between Builder and Architect?
Builder is designed for current supply chain research and includes paid Altsets access, AI tools, agent integrations, workspaces, and current network data. Architect adds a rolling 10-year historical window and a larger monthly usage allowance.
